Our Team
Our multidisciplinary approach brings together specialists from cardiology, thoracic and vascular surgery, pediatric cardiology and interventional radiology. We are particularly skilled in treating difficult-to-control manifestations of cardiovascular disease, such as coronary artery disease, rhythm disturbances, peripheral arterial disease and heart failure. We have been leaders in cardiac care for more than 40 years, and we are committed to remaining leaders into the next century.
Clinical Services
The UVA Heart & Vascular Center consists of 107 licensed inpatient beds, including a 10-bed coronary care unit, 5 cardiovascular operating rooms and the region's only accredited Chest Pain Center, located within the Emergency Department. The Heart Center’s outpatient clinics help 30,000 patients prevent, detect and treat heart disease annually.
UVA Women’s Heart Health program offers four levels of cardiovascular care appropriate to a woman’s level of risk. Our team of cardiologists can help you prevent heart disease by assessing your risk associated with hypertension, lipid management, diabetes and cardiac fitness.
UVA has one of the most advanced cardiac imaging research programs in the United States offering a comprehensive list of services from angiography to vascular reactivity studies.
UVA is a leader in the treatment of heart disease and conditions. Our board certified team of clinicians includes physicians who specialize in every aspect of heart disease.
