It wasn't long ago that Christina Mae Bowles was often so short of breath - caused by a leaky heart valve - she couldn't even talk on the phone.
But after coming to UVA Health System's Scott Lim, M.D., Bowles was able to get back to her old routine by becoming the first person in Virginia to undergo a new procedure to fix leaky heart valves.
